| I would like to take the time to acknowledge the very important people who have helped me succeed in the dog world and life in general. Please know how important all of you are and continue to be! First and foremost I would like to acknowledge and thank Kathy Miller of Sandy Oak Chesapeakes. She has known me since I was born and she has known my mother since she was a teenager. Kathy has been there for me when I felt like no one else was, and believe me they weren't. She has supported me the whole way with my am staffs and through the chessies. Kathy has taught me so much about training, breeding, proper conformation and life in general. She has been one of my best friends and I love her like she was another mom. Tracy and Scott Olson Tracy and Brady finishing Brady's conformation championship I met Tracy several years ago through mutual acquaintances and friends. I later came to find out that this was the same Tracy that had shown one of Kathy Millers Chessies to his conformation championship about 20 years ago, only she was Tracy Wierick then and not Olson. Tracy has become a very important person in my life, she has been like my other mom for the past several years and has helped me to better myself both with my dogs and my personal life. I owe a lot to Tracy and of course her husband Scott who has been like a father to me as well. Paul Marks Pauls best friend Bimbo (Bradys Grandfather) I first met Paul several years ago when he had come over to the states to visit John Glenn. He had come to the Del Valle Dog Club of Livermore show with John and i was first introduced to him, he had brought an 8 week old puppy of his to give to john ( this was "Lucky" , CH Parastone's Just call Me Lucky) who I was quite impressed with when I had met the pup ( lucky was about 3 months when I met him). About a year and half later Paul came over with his Parastone's team for the STCA National's in Las Vegas, NV. I got to know Paul and his friends a little more before they left . I started to check out his website and began to email him off and on. Eventually I got up enough courage to inquire about buying a male pup from him. Needless to say I got Brady from him and it has been a lot of fun since then. Paul sent me a gorgeous boy in Brady and Im so thankful to him for everything, Im proud to say he is one of my friends and partners in the amstaffs and I look forward to our future both here in the USA and in Europe as well. Don and Catherine Logsdon Don and Cathy Logsdon have been very good friends of mine for almost the entire time I have been breeding and showing amstaffs. They are wonderful kind hearted people and I love them like they were my own family. I finished two of their three amstaffs, Kona and Mia. They have supported me the whole way and Im proud to say they re my friends. Thank you for being there for me!! Starla Davis Starla has been a close friend and confidant for a long time. Starla owns AKC UKC CH HHK'S Clean Slate OFA "Slate" who I started to show and in six months of limited showing slate finished his conformation championship. I owe a huge amount of thanks to Starla for being the original designer of the IRONSTONE AMSTAFFS website. She spent a lot of her own time putting this website together. Starla is now the proud parent of an adorable baby boy Colton and is married to a wonderful man, Tom. Thanks for all your hard work Starla. Eric and Shelly Larson Hammerhead Kennels I have known Eric and Shelly as long as I have known Don and Cathy, and while they are not breeding and showing anymore, I'm proud to say they are good friends of mine. I helped finish Tsumo for them and took him as far as I could as a specials. They are wonderful people as well, and I miss them in the dog world. NANCY SABO MONSOON DOBERMANS Nancy has been one of the most supportive and positive people that I have ever shown dogs for. Nancy has always been there when I needed to call someone and she has always been supportive of any of my decisions that I have had to make. I can honestly say that Nancy is a part of my extended family and I love her very much. |
